‘Rising To The Top’ was Dee Sharp’s fourth and final recording for Fashion Records, and followed his earlier chart toppers ‘Let’s Dub It Up’ and ‘Swing & Dine’.
After taking time out to sing with successful soul/funk group Buzzz Dee returned to Fashion to record this classic reggae cover of Keni Burke’s ‘Rising To The Top’, another smash hit which cemented Dee’s reputation as a UK Lovers Rock legend.
Both the vocal and instrumental tracks have been re-mastered from the original analogue tapes and are accompanied by a selection of three brand new dub mixers from the original multi-track tapes.
